This week was probably the tensest so far on the show. So many group numbers, four contestants were sent home and more group numbers. However, this week was just as amazing when it came to the performances as any other week.

The show opened with a Stacey Tookey routine, which was gorgeous. It was a Roman inspired piece with a lot of connected lines, togas, and some pretty awesome neck wear. The piece was very graceful and heavenly, especially with the white togas blowing in the wind. It opened the show perfectly and got the ball rolling. However, the ball took a short pause when the bottom six were announced. Instead of announcing who was actually in the bottom, Cat Deeley named who made it straight into the top 10. In the end, the bottom six were Teddy, Serge, Casey, Jessica, Emily, and Carly. That wasn’t the only sad news; four would be going home this week.

As always, that did not stop the routines from being fantastic as always. Like the past weeks, I will be giving you my top three favorite dances for the week. You may disagree, but that is fine, these are the dances that I found to stand out the most.

3. Ricky and Valerie

First of all, to see these two get “buck” instead of their usual gracefulness was awesome. It was spectacular, especially because neither one of them is a hip-hop dancer, and they destroyed this Academy of Villains inspired routine. The piece was very creative along with being very dark and scary. Ricky was perfect as the witch doctor, and Valerie stole the show. She also ended it all while in a middle split. I have no idea how she was able to do that split roll, but it looked effortless and she killed it.

2. Rudy and Tanisha

Of course these two are in my top three for the week. They just made me love Mandy Moore even more. I already loved her choreography, but this piece was so stunningly beautiful that I could just watch it over and over and feel like I was watching it for the first time. Rudy, as always, was the perfect partner in this number, and he held his own. On the other hand, Tanisha, again, came out of the woodwork. She was this sexy beast, all while being this graceful little angel. I honestly feel that if this keeps happening, we will be seeing these two at the top.

1. Casey and Jessica

After watching this number, I literally was speechless. I could not express how amazingly beautiful that was. First of all, Travis Wall needs to stop and let someone else have a chance because he is just too good to be true. He always amazes audiences and captivates viewers with his stunning routines. Now, Jessica has been through about two partners already, and her perfect partner has finally arrived. Just like from the first episode with her and Ricky, Casey and Jessica are forces to be reckoned with. They compliment each other so well that it is just too amazing to be real. This has put them on the map, and they will be staying for a while if they keep it up.

Now, let us discuss the two amazing group routines- one choreographed by Mandy Moore and the other by Travis Wall. Starting with the all boys piece, choreographed by Travis, I was so much in awe that it was breathtakingly good. The way that all these different male dancers came together for such a high flying number was amazing. Their control, Emilio’s courage, and the ending fall left the audience with so much joy and happiness.

On the other hand, the Mandy Moore, female dominated routine deserved an endless standing ovation. After watching this routine, I was left speechless, again, and full of tears. Mandy Moore set the bar for choreographers everywhere with this routine. For anyone who wants to know how to choreograph a group of strong dancers, just take notes from this. It was effortlessly stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. I will always remember this routine as one of the best and most memorable routines on the show.

Finally, it is time for the worst news for four dancers, who will be going home. After the performances of the night, I honestly could not single any one person out and tell them to pack their bags. The judges had such a hard time, however, the two dancers going on to the top 10 were Casey and Jessica. Which meant that Teddy, Serge, Emily, and Carly were left to be sent home. Even though they did not make it, they will always be remembered by the amazing group routines they were put in and by how hard they worked in their routines.

Now, there are only ten contestants left, making the final moments appear faster and faster. No matter what happens, it is going to be a fight to the finish, and I wouldn’t want to miss a beat.
