Original Salsa in New York in the 1970s. Grew previous forms of dance, such as "Cha cha cha" and Mambo, which were popular in New York, and elements of Swing and Hustle dance were incorporated and elements of Afro-Cuban and Afro-Caribbean dances Guaguanco and Pachanga.
